The family of miniPC ASUS expands, thanks to entry into the lineup of two new specimens, models EeeBox EB1035 and EB1505 , two devices that are candidates to the role of home multimedia center, thanks to the presence of the new operating system Windows 8 and a platform hardware powerful enough for the use to which they are intended. Aesthetically, the two models are different, although both treated and elegant, as usual Taiwanese company.
ASUS EeeBox EB1035 has an aesthetic more traditional, with square lines and sober, a black and ports and controls grouped on both sides thinner, while EeeBox EB1505 has a more refined look, with softer lines and current and with a color scheme which sees the combination of silver inserts on the sides which house the door to a black color for the rest of the body. The first measure 219 x 172.5 x 29 mm with a weight of 690 g , while the latter is more compact, since measuring 193 x 193 x 39 mm with a weight of 1.2 Kg , contains also an optical drive Super Multi DVD-RW or Blu-ray combo drive , a choice of slot-in type.
The hardware configuration is however almost the same for both miniPC, both equipped with a processor Intel Celeron 847 with a clock rate of 1.1 GHz, supported by a maximum of 1066 MHz DDR3 RAM is 4GB. Storage include both traditional hard drives with 5400 RPM with a capacity of 320 or 500 GB, but the EB1035 will also combine an SSD of 32 GB.
