In the night, ASUS has published (by mistake) the video spot for a new device, called the ASUS Transformer Book Duet (TD300) . The name, however unusual, there is entirely new since a few days ago there were some indications of a Transformer Book dual-OS (Android and Windows 8) with product code TD300LA . The video is now private and it will be up to the ASUS press conference at CES 2014, but thanks to the colleagues of Italian AndroidWord (perhaps the only ones who see the ad before obscuration) we can add interesting details.
The ASUS Transformer Book Duet is the first tablet hybrid (then converts into a notebook) to the world quad-mode , dual-OS. It would seem that the switch between the two operating systems, from Windows 8 to Android, happen in just 8 seconds in either tablet in notebook-mode. On balance, the user will have a single terminal, four different devices: two tablets with Android and Windows 8:02 ultraportable with Android and Windows 8, ready to meet any need, from work to play to entertainment .
Evolution of the Transformer Book Trio, the ASUS Transformer Book Duet (TD300) will pass from one notebook to tablet mode simply by hooking a keyboard . The video does not show the technical characteristics of the device and it is impossible to imagine a data-sheet, but according to the latest rumors that the device will be equipped with processors Intel Haswell(Intel Core i3-4020Y and 1.5GHz Intel Core i7-4610Y from 1.7GHz) , WiFi, Bluetooth and Display (10-inch?) with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels . For completeness, we report the link of the video spot (which is now private) only remembering that back online in a couple of days, at the press conference ASUS. Stay tuned.
