At CES 2014, scheduled in the first week of January, ASUS will announce the new VivoTab Notes 8 , the one that until now called with the codename of ASUS M80TA . As we saw yesterday and we can confirm today, ASUS VivoTab Notes 8 (ASUS M80TA) will be an 8-inch tablet with Windows 8.1 and Wacom stylus at a price of $ 299. The mini-tablet guys provide us with complete technical specifications and the first image of tablet, albeit blurred, gives us an idea about the design and its forms. At first glance, VivoTab Notes 8 will be outwardly very similar to the Dell Venue Pro 8, the only other active stylus included with the tablet, while the rest of the technical approaches to other tablets in the same category.
Below the display to 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) hides an Intel Atom-Bay Trail up to 1.8GHz quad-core processor (Atom Z3740?), with 2GB of RAM and SSD 32GB or 64GB depending on the version, which can be expanded with a microSD card slot up to 32GB. There will be a module WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 , but it is now scheduled for a 3G model or 4G/LTE. Of course, ASUS VivoTab Notes 8 will run on Windows 8.1 full version with Office 2013 pre-installed. The new ASUS tablet will not be the most subtle (10.95 mm) on the market, but one of the lightest with only 380 grams. At the rear is an integrated camera of 5 megapixels , while the front is a sensor to 1.2 megapixels.
ASUS VivoTab Notes 8 will be launched in the U.S. at starting price of $ 299 and we therefore expect that the tablet arrive in Italy at a price of 299 Euros. It is not clear whether it will be included stylus. ASUS has provided at least two SKUs for the VivoTab Notes 8, but at the moment we do not know the difference (it will be the amount of memory or the presence / absence of the stylus?). All for now, but we expect more details in the coming days before his announcement that will, in all likelihood, the 2014 CES in Las Vegas in January.
