MediaTek MT8507 processor specifications, first SoC to support Google Cast for audio

MediaTek has collaborated with Google for the new Google Cast for Audio which is a solution that allows music lovers to connect quickly to streaming audio services. The MediaTek MT8507 processor is in fact industry’s first to support Google Cast technology that allows the users to easily connect their personal devices such as iPhone, iPad, android devices, Windows PCs and MacBooks with “Google Cast Ready” speakers and sound bars.

The MediaTek MT8507 is already in mass production and the brand is already collaborating with companies to bring out new speakers and sound bars that work with Google Cast Ready technology by March 2015.
