MSI offers light versions of its Radeon R9 380 and 390

MSI has unveiled two new models of graphics card under the nickname " Light Edition ". Specifically it is the MSI Radeon R9 380 and R9 390 Gaming , the two graphs best sales level are having to MSI AMD Radeon within the family. MSI S20 review can be read here.

Both graphs will have a custom PCB for the occasion and as usual in all MSI Gaming products, will make use of components "Military Class" of the highest quality and specifically selected to have the best stability and durability. However, it is noteworthy that seeing the product sheets of both graphs we fail to discern what is special and why MSI has dubbed the "Light Edition" (LE). Yes we see, however, that the Radeon R9 390 LE has a TDP of 208 watts, which from our point of view is pretty good.Certainly the R9 380 will have 4 GB of VRAM while the R9 390 will have a whopping 8 GB.Here are its main features:

8 GB of GDDR5 memory with 512-bit bus.

I suppose you have to wait for its official launch for MSI show us what’s so special about these Light Edition because as we mentioned we do not find anything special that makes them really different from those in the market, but what is not doubt is that if the MSI is launching with these features is that something new will. You go figure … you’ll have to wait as long. And by the way, as always it does not know absolutely nothing about its release date or its price.
