NEC has launched today two new Android tablet, for the Japanese market. LaVie Tab E TE508 and TE510 will be on sale from next July 23 Lollipop with Android 5.0 preinstalled. Do not we ever see in Europe or in the US, but the new NEC LaVie Tab E TE508 and TE510 are ready to cross the borders of the Japanese market. The two tablets are not upgrades of existing models, but go to make up a new family characterized by specifications, prices mid range. They do not have anything special neither in design nor configuration, are both equipped with a SoC MediaTek and operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Cross Coretech japan tech blog says LaVie Tab E TE508 is equipped with a display from 8-inch HD (1280 x 800 pixels) , quad-coreMediaTek MT8161 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The data-sheet is completed with WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, microSD card slot, microUSB 2.0 port, 3.5 mm audio jack and battery 4290 mAh (for declared autonomy of up to 8 hours). There is also a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front. NEC LaVie Tab E TE508 has a thickness of 8.9 mm and a weight of 354 grams. It will retail for approximately $ 183 (exchange rate).
LaVie Tab E TE510 , as its name indicates, is a tablet of 10-inch IPS with full HD resolution, and this is a bit ‘more cumbersome the previous (measuring 8.99 mm in thickness and 522 grams in weight). Inside there is a quad-core MediaTek MT8165 from 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage expandable with a microSD card slot. This device offers audio technology Dolby Atmos , WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a rear camera 8 megapixels , which is paired with a 5 megapixel sensor on the front.
In this case, the battery has a capacity of 7000 mAh which should provide a range of 9 hours video playback (not bad!). LaVie Tab E TE510 will be available in Japan in the color navy blue at the price equivalent of $ 270.
