So if that’s the Raspberry PI is a device geek too, without a body, and with too many limitations or update procedures not exactly intuitive for new features and the FXI Cotton Candy is too expensive, Rikomagic MK802 could be the solution for you, versatile almost as much as the second but less expensive, stopping at about $72.

Rikomagic MK802 3 Review

The company has presented in recent days plus the third generation of its microPC, called simply MK802 III . Compared to its predecessor the enclosure is changed once again, becoming thinner and characterized by softer lines and elegant, with an embossed pattern that enhances grip, while an attack as connections are HDMI to connect directly to a Rikomagic TV, a door full size USB 2.0 , a microUSB and a microSD slot for memory.

So compared to the second generation is lost then a second microUSB port, but you gain in space, now further reduced. There is also a module WiFi . But it is above all the new hardware platform to make a difference. If in fact the quantity of RAM and to internal memory remained unchanged and equal respectively to 1 and 2 GB , is to change the SoC and the operating system. Instead of the previous AllWinner A10 , a single core ARM Cortex A8 we find now a much more powerful Rockchip Rk3066, a dual core ARM Cortex A9 1.5 GHz , while the OS is Google Andorid 4.1 Jelly Bean , also pre-installed with Google Play Store, thus giving the opportunity for all users to download to install too many apps available for this operating system. According to this Rockchip RK3066 review, it performs pretty good.

Apparently the downside, however, is represented by the loss of compatibility with operating systems Linux for which now offers virtually no support Rockchip not real, but this most likely is no longer a limit seen the new target audience to which it addresses this solution. The Rikomagic III MK802 is available now from W2Comp at the price of 71.99 U.S. dollars.
