Synology Inc. has this week launched the new Synology DS916+ DiskSation a scalable NAS 4 bays designed for professionals and small businesses. Powered by a quad – core processor, the DS916+ can perform data encryption tasks and high – speed computing. With a flexible scalability up to 9 units, the DS916+ is able to quickly handle growing storage capacity needs.
Equipped with DiskStation Manager (DSM) 6.0 and added versatile package, users are able to perform transparent file sharing and synchronization, productive collaboration, and disaster recovery soft DS916+.
The new DS916+ offers exceptional performance, with read speeds exceeding 225 MB / s and 221 MB / s writing. When transferring encrypted data, the new Synology NAS also achieves read speeds of 225 MB / s and 209 MB / s in writing and can handle a wide range of tasks in a safe and robust computing work. The DS916+ comes with two RAM options to choose from, which can be between 2 GB and 8 GB to achieve greater flexibility and virtualization simultaneous connections.
Equipped with an Intel Pentium N3710 quad-core processor running at 1.6 GHz and a boost to 2.56 GHz, as well as 64-bit internal architecture, this new Synology NAS is ready for streaming real tiemplo of video files H.264 (AVC), MPEG-2 and VC-1, and can decode up to a maximum resolution of 4K (4096 x 2160 pixels), making it the perfect complement to play movies in the lounge.
